Temptation

We recently bought a cheap package of squirt guns for the kids, and put them out of reach in a bucket so we could give them out as rewards. While cleaning yesterday, I put the bucket on the kitchen counter, and Talea spotted them. She sat up on her chair and gazed at them for a moment, then said in a matter of fact way,
"Mommy, if you put these squirt guns on the counter, I'm going to get into them."
"Are they too much of a temptation for you?" I asked, trying not to laugh.
"Yes" she replied.

At least she's honest and warns me before she's naughty!
