The next abs-of-steel instructor

Kiersa doesn't speak yet, so I don't have as much to post about her, and since she's still so small, she's not really doing much yet either, but here are some cute things she's doing right now.

Kiersa is working on a serious six-pack! Although her tummy looks as round and tubby as mine right now, she's got abs-of-steel! She absolutely hates to lay down and stare at the ceiling, so if you lay her down, she tries extremely hard to sit herself upright. If you lay her at an angle against a pillow, watch out! She'll pull herself (with only the strength of her abs) into a sitting position! She doesn't stay sitting up well enough to do it unassisted, but she has surprised us by holding herself in a sitting position during an entire shopping trip at WalMart.

Kiersa Milly recognizes her name and will look for the voice that called her.

Miss Milly does nothing but smile. If you so much as glance in her direction, her face lights up with a huge smile. All of my kids have been happy babies that are quick to smile, but Kiersa is the smiliest of all. I think she realizes that my nerves get frazzled easily with 3 kids, so she makes up for crying by smiling all the time. She's getting really good at laughing, and if you catch her in the right mood, you can get her laughing pretty hard, but be warned: If you get her to laugh, she WILL get the hiccups.

We call Kiersa 5 different names: Kiersa, Kiersa Milly, Milly, Miss Milly, and Milly weed. My other kids will only call her Kiersa Milly. In primary last Sunday, the primary president was holding Kiersa (I'm the secretary), and she asked Talea what Kiersa's name was (no one can remember how to say it). Talea said Kiersa Miwy (she doesn't say her L's), so the president was a little confused at what she was saying. I had to tell her what it was and why Tilly calls her that.
