On Sunday, some snowflakes were coming down with the rain for a few minutes. I was surprised because it usually doesn't snow until January or February around here. On Monday morning, we awoke to this.
(Note the fact that all of our new windows are installed and the house is completely wrapped in new felt, awaiting trim and siding.)
The first snow of the season! Okay, so it's only a skiff, but it's snow! Not hail! It's supposed to snow tomorrow too.
One thing I love about this area, and most of Oregon, is that you don't have to live in the snow. You can drive a few minutes and be in the mountains to play in the snow, but then go back and live without shoveling walks and digging out your car. No reckless drivers slipping around on snowy roads. Well, only for a few days a year maybe. My kind of weather.

The house is looking Better!~ it's really surprising to see snow on the roof too!~ I hope I can still come help out in finishing it!~
i can see now why i didnt last in oregon. i LOVE the snow! what is the point of freezing your butt off all winter if there isnt pretty white fluffy stuff to look out and see every morning!?
and rain used to be a favorite of mine because we dont get too much of it here...but in oregon...it just depressed me even more!
i guess that is why we live where we live.
