Rhododendron

I never realized that a lot of people probably don't know what a rhododendron is, but I guess unless you grew up in the northwest, it could be a very foreign plant to you. It's common in the redwoods and the northwest, and it makes a spectacular display at Shore Acres.

Here's a picture I found off the internet.


Shore Acres is a gorgeous park not far from our house, on the coast. You may recognize the fountain in this picture from a post I did where it looked like Talea was drinking the water. There are rhododendrons in the background.
