Okay, so I don't mean to brag, but my husband is a genius kitchen designer! It never ceases to amaze me at how skilled he is at it. It comes to him so naturally, and believe me, it's not as easy as it seems. There is a ton to consider when designing a kitchen, not just the layout of the work triangle or the type of wood to use and stain it should have. It's actually pretty stressful to get it just right so that there are no errors. Ordering one cabinet incorrectly could mean a matter of hundreds of dollars down the drain.
The homeshow starts tomorrow, and Hyrum had a photographer take a bunch of pictures of the kitchens he's done. Most of them are pretty recent ones. You can view them online, and you don't even need a password anymore. If you'd like to see his handiwork (remember, he didn't build them, he designed everything and ordered the cabinets, and his installers installed them), go to http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventthumbs?event=0UID003E . The other ones (like pallos, coquille home, etc) are just the pictures grouped by each home. Misty Meadows is the one that's owned by the lady that was on Dirty Jobs (see my star struck post), and these pictures are much better! Pallos is a kitchen that Hyrum completely designed, meaning he suggested certain walls be knocked down and doorways opened to make the kitchen look it's best (rather than just designing according to their existing walls like usual). They did it, and I think it looks stunning!
